How it works

Germs are too small to see one at a time. Put them on special jelly food, and in a few days millions grow into dots you can see. Different places grow different amounts.

What you will do

1. Look at the numbered plates.
2. Match each one to a place card.
3. A volunteer reveals the answers.

What you need:

Not one to try at home: growing germs from swabs can grow things nobody should open. A safer idea is a handwashing check with a glow lotion and a UV flashlight.

Safety at home:

Never open a plate with germs growing on it.
